While I don’t have much use for them myself, printed books aren’t going anywhere for a long time, and the Kindle, for all its advantages (e-ink, great battery life, built in EVDO connection for buying and downloading books directly) isn’t going to get bibliophiles like my mom to stop lugging tree pulp around.

I tend to disagree. I think we will see a huge transition from printed books to ebooks in the coming years. This new era of technology is changing the game, and for those who are growing up in the era of the internet, it is going to be a natural progression from the old school print to the new school ebooks.</description>
