Just for reference, if you’re curious about the overall shape of the story. A lot has changed in the novel version (including Mike’s powers) but this might give you a basic idea of where I’m going. A couple of things to consider.
- This was written in 1998, and most of the plot is older than that. So it pre-dates 9/11, the Iraq war and most of what we know about the Middle East by now. It’s going to seem dated, but that’s because it is dated.
- A lot of the dialogue sucks. I’ve gotten better.
- I will be changing the ending. Read the script and you’ll understand.
