Okay, campers, Unification Chronicles #4 has been uploaded to Fictionwise and should appear for sale Monday morning.
A few changes to look for in this issue… While it’s still titled internally as Volume 01.04, I’m sticking to regular old comix-style issue numbers for Fictionwise, so this issue will be listed as:
Exiting Eden [Unifiction Chronicles #4]
Also, note that that I’ve gone back to individual issue titles, so while this is First Contact 4 of 4, it’s not listed as such. It’s confusing, sure, but “Exiting Eden” was just too cool a title for this one not to use. Plus I secretly hate my readers. Or not.
Okay, enough back patting. On to prepping issue 5…

Hey Jeff, looking forward to the next episodes. I am OK with the naming of each issue however, could you name them: [Unifiction Chronicles #4] Exiting Eden. In eReader everything is sorted alphabeticaly and having the episode number at the end means the issues will not be sorted and will take longer to find the one to read next.
Unfortunately, I have nothing to do with the order of the titles. That’s set by Fictionwise. Alas…
Jeff, I am not sure I understand. Are you saying that Fictionwise controls the name of the book? I don’t care what order they are listed on in Fictionwise I would like to see the name of the book as it shows up in eReader with the issue number in the beginning and the title of the issue after that.
Yeah, Fictionwise handles that automatically. I supply an RTF file, a cover image (the white text on black Solo Media design by Josh), and metadata formatted to their specifications. That’s it. Beyond that, it’s out of my control. They take the RTF file, cover and metadata and convert it into eReader, .lit, PalmDoc, iSilo and other formats. I have zero control over that part of the process.
And yes, they specify how to indicate a book is part of a series.
