Sprint EV-DO coming in Q3 2005 - Engadget - www.engadget.com
We swore we wouldn�t reveal how we found this out, but we�ve just learned that Sprint is planning a big rollout for their high-speed EV-DO network beginning sometime in the third quarter of this year (it might be a few more months before their network is ready, but that hasn�t stopped them from selling Sierra Wireless�s laptop EV-DO card). We�re still trying to dig up a list of the cities where they�ll be launching EV-DO, but the one thing that does seem fairly certain is that Sprint is going to price their EV-DO service so it�ll be competitive with Verizon, who have had EV-DO available in a bunch of different cities for months now.
This rocks. I hope they roll out in Denver soon, because I’d love to have EV-DO speed ‘toothed to my T5…
