PalmSource today announced the availability of Java Technology
for Palm OS Garnet, a WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment (WEME) Java 2
Micro Edition (J2ME) certified runtime environment, for the Treo 650
smartphone and Tungsten T5 handheld from palmOne. IBM’s WebSphere
Everyplace Micro Environment (WEME) Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) certified
runtime environment provides the technology needed to enable
standards-based mobile Java applications to run on Palm Powered smart
mobile devices.
