Sorry Jeff, I’d like to listen to this, but I don’t have an .MP3 player. In any case, though I respect your interest in podcasting, I think etext is the future and the way to go. Think about it. Why would I want to listen to a podcast, when I could just read something. Plus, it would take a long time to listen to a book, but not very long to read it. Also, it takes up a lot less space to have a book in etext form than to listen to an .MP3 version of it.
My ideal situation would be for someone to just put it in a .pdb format so I could read it on my awesome Palm Zire 21. If you want to add other sounds and things to texture the podcast, as you mentioned, then you could do it with hyperlinks to short midi or wave files. I don’t think it would be hard to develop the technology to do that on a Palm Zire 21.
Thanks, I hope I get the technology some day to listen to your podcast, but until then I’ll stick with PalmZire21casts.
